Dice announced via the Battlelog that the netcode for Battlefield 4 is being updated, again. The update is rolling out now for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 with PS4 and Xbox One receiving the update later in the week.
For a game that is about eight months old the list of fixes is extensive, covering issues common and unique across all platforms. Many of the fixes seem to still be related to latency and collision problems. However, one problem that is not mentioned is the ongoing rubberbanding issue that has been plaguing players since launch.
I found it comical that the first part of the video is a jumping demonstration. Granted, they are trying to show an improvement in latency but their test bed isn’t exactly using real life specifications and showing to players jumping up and down is just kind of silly. I thought maybe this was part of a new title…
